If you were affected by the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon fires and already filed a claim, you have until August 3, 2026 to ask FEMA to reopen your claim. You can request reopening if you incurred additional losses during reconstruction in excess of what was previously awarded or if you can demonstrate good cause under 44 CFR 296.21(c)(1) and 44 CFR 296.35.
