No-Entry Safety Zone During Wausau Air Show
From June 25 through June 27, 2026, a temporary safety zone covers specified navigable waters of the Wisconsin River in Wausau. Boats and people may not enter the zone during enforcement hours (2:00–4:00 p.m. on June 25; 4:30–10:00 p.m. on June 26; 3:30–10:00 p.m. on June 27) unless specifically authorized.
Authorization and Contact Procedure to Enter Zone
If you need to enter the safety zone during the enforcement periods, you must get permission from the Captain of the Port (COTP) or the COTP's designated representative. To request authorization, contact the COTP or representative on VHF-FM channel 16 or by telephone at (414) 747-7182.
