New West Coast Port Survey

BOEM will conduct the "United States West Coast Port Infrastructure Survey" of stakeholders selected from Washington, Oregon, and California and from 20 West Coast ports. The survey expects 108 annual responses, takes about 30 minutes online or 1 hour for an in-person interview, totals 108 burden hours, is voluntary, and will be collected one time.

Survey Informs Energy and Port Planning

BOEM will synthesize survey responses into a final report and port profiles to inform BOEM planning, environmental reviews, Coastal Zone Management Act determinations, local harbor planning, and inter-industry negotiations. The goal is to help avoid, minimize, or offset space-use conflicts and enhance synergies between offshore energy activities (including decommissioning) and port-based industries.
