Who Can Request Repatriation

You may request repatriation if you are one or more of the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations identified in the notice, or if you are a lineal descendant, Indian Tribe, or Native Hawaiian organization not identified who shows by a preponderance of the evidence that you have cultural affiliation. Written requests must be sent to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District, and repatriation may occur on or after July 13, 2026.
