Repatriation available to affiliated tribes

The Bureau of Land Management has identified two Native American ancestors and determined they are affiliated with the Qawalangin Tribe of Unalaska. Repatriation may occur on or after July 13, 2026; written requests for repatriation must be sent to Robin O. Mills, Bureau of Land Management, 222 W 7th Avenue, #13, Anchorage, AK 99513, or emailed to [email protected]. Eligible requestors include the Qawalangin Tribe of Unalaska and any lineal descendant or tribe/organization that shows by a preponderance of the evidence they are affiliated.
