No Boulder Canyon Rate Increase

If you are a power customer served by WAPA's Desert Southwest region (Arizona, Southern California, Southern Nevada), the Boulder Canyon Project base charge is proposed to remain $76.175 million ($76.2 million) for FY2027 and unit rates remain unchanged: composite 25.89 mills/kWh, energy 12.95 mills/kWh, and capacity $2.27 per kW‑month. These proposed rates would be effective October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027 and are unchanged from FY2026.

Public Comment Period and Forums

You can review and comment on the FY2027 proposal during the consultation and comment period from June 16, 2026 through September 14, 2026. WAPA will hold a public information forum on July 16, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to no later than 12:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time and a public comment forum on August 17, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to no later than 12:00 p.m. MST; both will be virtual and in person at WAPA's Desert Southwest Regional Office, 615 South 43rd Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85009. In-person U.S. citizens must present government photo ID (REAL ID-compliant driver's license, U.S. passport, U.S. Government ID, or U.S. Military ID); foreign nationals should contact the Rates Manager in advance.

Proposed Rates Are Preliminary — May Change

The proposed FY2027 base charge and unit rates are preliminary and subject to change before final publication based on updated energy and capacity forecasts and recent hydrological conditions; if finalized, rates would be effective October 1, 2026. WAPA will update unit rate calculations using updated hydrological data when determining the final base charge and rates.
