40% Cut in Annual Reporting Burden

PREP’s revisions are expected to reduce overall annual burden hours by 40 percent compared to the previously approved estimate, with the filing showing an annual burden of 24,552 hours and a total burden of 73,656 hours over the request period. The changes simplify reporting forms and participant measures for grant recipients and subrecipients.

PREP Grants Continue Supporting Teen Health

PREP continues to fund grants to states, tribes, and community organizations to support evidence-based programs that teach both abstinence and contraceptive use plus topics like healthy relationships, adolescent development, financial literacy, and employment skills. ACF will keep collecting performance measures to monitor program progress.

Shorter Surveys for Teen Participants

If your child participates in PREP programs, the participant entry survey is shortened from 8 minutes to 5 minutes and the exit survey from 7 minutes to 5 minutes. The revisions apply to an estimated 235,353 entry and 195,528 exit participant responses and are intended to make answering questions easier and faster.
