Airspace route changes near Great Falls

The FAA proposes to create RNAV Route Q-827, amend Jet Route J-7, and revoke Jet Route J-530 in the vicinity of Great Falls, MT. Q-827 would run between the Great Falls, MT VORTAC and the RAWZY, MT waypoint at the U.S.-Canada border; the changes follow the decommissioning of the Swift Current, SK VOR and remove the GGRBI navigation fix. These updates are intended to provide enroute continuity with NAV Canada and pilots/operators should note the changes (comment deadline: August 6, 2026).

No significant small-entity economic impact

The FAA states this proposed amendment is routine and expects, at most, de minimis costs from compliance or minor flight rerouting; it certifies the proposal will not have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities under the Regulatory Flexibility Act. Operators may still experience minor operational adjustments but the agency does not expect substantial economic burdens.
