Manistee River closed to non‑participants

On July 4, 2026, from noon through 1 p.m., all waters of the Manistee River from Maple Street Bridge to Elks Lodge are closed to non‑participants. No vessel or person may enter, transit, anchor in, or remain in the regulated area unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port or a designated representative; to seek permission contact VHF‑FM channel 16 or telephone (414) 747‑7100.

People and vessels registered with the event sponsor as participants in the Manistee National Forest Festival Duck Race are defined as participants and may be authorized to be in the regulated area during the event. Participants must comply with all lawful orders from the Captain of the Port or the COTP's designated representative while in the regulated area.
