Boats and people won’t be allowed inside the zone from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. unless they get special permission. 2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.

Temporary 1,200‑ft Fireworks Safety Zone

On September 19, 2026, you may not be in the water or on a boat inside a 1,200‑foot radius of the fireworks launch site (approx. 45°40'15" N, 121°53'43" W) between 8:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. unless you get permission from the Captain of the Port. The Coast Guard will broadcast notices on VHF‑FM channel 16 and you can request permission by VHF channel 16 or phone at 1‑(833) 769‑8724 so vessels can adjust transit plans.

Coast Guard Certifies Limited Small‑Business Impact

The Coast Guard certifies under 5 U.S.C. 605(b) that this proposed safety zone will not have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities. They base this on the short time (8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.), small area, typically low vessel traffic during the period, the ability for vessels to transit around the zone, broadcast notices on channel 16, and the option for vessels to request permission to enter.
