US Hits South Korean Chemicals With Unfair Trade Ruling

Published Date: 7/16/2026

Notice

Summary

The U.S. found that imports of certain chemical products from South Korea are being sold at unfairly low prices, hurting American businesses that make the same stuff. Because of this, the government will take action to protect U.S. companies starting soon, which could affect import costs and prices. If you’re in the chemical or import business, keep an eye on these changes—they could impact your bottom line.

U.S. Industry Found Injured by Korean Imports

The U.S. International Trade Commission found on July 13, 2026 that imports of multifunctional acrylate and methacrylate monomers and oligomers (MAMMOs) from South Korea are materially injuring a U.S. industry. Commerce previously found those imports were sold in the United States at less than fair value (see 91 FR 31415, May 27, 2026), and the Commission noted that imports subject to Commerce’s affirmative critical circumstances finding are not likely to undermine the remedial effect of the antidumping duty order on South Korea.
