Protest deadline and protest rules
If you want to challenge one or more plats, the BLM must receive your written notice of protest by August 17, 2026. You must mail or deliver the protest to the BLM State Director in Anchorage, identify the plat(s), and, if not filed with the notice, file a written statement of reasons within 30 calendar days after the protest is filed; protests filed before the scheduled filing will stay (delay) the official filing until protests are resolved.
