Analyzed Economic Effects
4 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 2 costs, 0 mixed.
New Monthly Fees Replace Installation Fee
Nasdaq replaced the prior $550 installation fee / no-monthly-fee approach for non-contiguous intrafirm cabinet cross-connects with ongoing monthly pricing: $385.00 for a single cross-connect; bundled monthly prices of $450.00 for 6, $540.00 for 12, $630.00 for 18, and $720.00 for 24 cross-connects. Nasdaq would not charge a separate installation fee and implemented the change around the second quarter of 2026 with the filing effective July 9, 2026.
Nasdaq Will Furnish and Control Fiber
Nasdaq will furnish, inventory, monitor, audit, and maintain all non-contiguous intrafirm cabinet fiber connectivity inside its data center halls, and third parties will no longer be permitted to provide that fiber within those halls. Nasdaq may still allow third parties to offer installation services, but the fiber itself must be provided and managed by Nasdaq.
Non‑contiguous Cabinet Service Now Listed
Nasdaq ISE expressly added “Intrafirm Cabinet Connectivity” (non-contiguous same-customer cabinet cross-connects that traverse shared data center space) into Rule General 8, Section 1(b) to make the service and pricing part of the Fiber connectivity fee schedule. This change was filed July 9, 2026 and is intended to make availability and pricing clearer for customers seeking such cross-connects.
Contiguous Cabinet Cabling Remains Customer‑Directed
Cabling between adjacent (contiguous) cabinets licensed to the same customer that does not traverse shared data center space remains generally customer-directed and is not offered by the Exchange as a standalone connectivity service or subject to a recurring fee. Nasdaq retains supervisory oversight over the data center environment and may provide ancillary installation assistance under Rule General 8, Section 1(d) if requested.
