Summary

In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, CAPE announces a proposed public information collection and seeks public comment on the provisions thereof. Comments are invited on: whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the agency, including whether the information shall have practical utility; the accuracy of the agency's estimate of the burden of the proposed information collection; ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and ways to minimize the burden of the information collection on respondents, including through the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology.

DoD cost-reporting requirement for contractors

If you are a weapon-system contractor or a government entity with contracts that individually or collectively surpass the dollar thresholds in DoDI 5000.73, you must provide Cost and Software Data Reports (CSDR) — including DD Form 1921, DD 1921-1, 1921-2, DD Form 1921-5, DD-1921-3, and DD-2794 — on an annual or event-driven basis under OMB No. 0704-0671. The notice lists estimated burdens for these forms, for example: Progress Curve Report (1921-2) — Annual Burden Hours 56,088, Respondents 228, Average Burden per Response 246 hours; Functional Cost and Hours Report (DD-1921-1) — Annual Burden Hours 44,198, Average Burden per Response 53.9 hours; Cost Data Summary Report (DD-1921) — Annual Burden Hours 17,753.1, Average Burden per Response 17.7 hours.
