Annual brokering report stays required
If you do brokering, manufacturing, exporting, or temporarily importing defense items in the U.S., you must keep filing the Annual Brokering Report each year when you renew your Statement of Registration. The collection affects about 1,142 respondents, takes about 2 hours per response (2,284 total annual burden hours), and the Department is seeking public comments by August 28, 2026.
Detailed transaction data must be reported
Registered brokers must report detailed information about brokering activities, including persons who participated, quantity, description, U.S. dollar value of defense articles or services, type and dollar value and source of any consideration, and the DDTC approval number or exemptions claimed. The Department says this information is used in reviewing munitions export and brokering license applications and may be shared with other U.S. Government entities.
