Notice is hereby given that the U.S. Department of Energy, pursuant to the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, prohibits the unauthorized entry and the unauthorized introduction of weapons or dangerous materials, as provided in, into or upon the following described facilities and property of the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy.

Starting July 30, 2026, the Department of Energy prohibits unauthorized entry and the unauthorized introduction of weapons or dangerous materials onto the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory property. The rule applies to the described DOE facilities and property and is designated under section 229 of the Atomic Energy Act and 10 CFR part 860.

Defined Boundary and Marked Perimeter

The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory boundary covers approximately 90.919 acres plus an additional 0.089 acres easement (Canal Pump House at 26 Mapleton Road) and is located at 100 Stellarator Road, Plainsboro Township, Middlesex County, New Jersey. The boundary is indicated by signage at entrances, chain link fencing, and other physical perimeter features so people can identify the restricted area.
