Who Can Request Repatriation and How
Any lineal descendant, Indian Tribe, or Native Hawaiian organization not named in this notice may submit a written request to Stanford University showing by a preponderance of the evidence that they are a lineal descendant or culturally affiliated. Send requests to Laura Jones, Stanford University, 477 Oak Road, Stanford, CA 94305, or by the email listed in the notice; if competing requests are received, Stanford must determine the most appropriate requestor, and joint requests count as a single request. Repatriation may occur on or after September 2, 2026.
