The AD applies to Model AS350B/BA/B1/B2/B3 helicopters with manufacture date before May 15, 2023; Model AS350D with manufacture date before May 15, 2023 (except those with a Lycoming engine); and Model EC130B4 and EC130T2 with manufacture date before February 13, 2023. The FAA estimates it affects 4,102 U.S.-registered helicopters and an inspection costs 1 work-hour at $85 per helicopter (total estimated industry inspection cost $348,670).
