Summary

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval for renewal of information collection. The collection for visitors involves individual names, driver's license number and vehicle license plate at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center. The information to be collected will be used to authenticate individuals attempting to access the Aeronautical Center. A previous notice was published indicating that this was an existing collection. However, this is a new request.

You must give ID to enter MMAC

If you want to enter the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) as a visitor, contractor, or employee, the FAA will collect your legal name, routing/company, driver's license number, and vehicle information (for example: license plate number, make, model, color) to authenticate you and grant access. The notice is dated August 7, 2026 and invites public comments under the Paperwork Reduction Act.

FAA stores PII for badges, keys, parking

The Aeronautical Center Security Management System (ACSMS) will store PII to create temporary access badges for federal personnel, maintain key inventory, and track parking permits. Stored fields explicitly include legal name, routing/company, driver's license number, and vehicle details (license plate, make, model, color).

PII shared with MMAC security unit

Personal data in ACSMS is shared with the MMAC Security and Investigations Division (AMC-700 (ASH)) and MMAC Security Forces to validate identity, track parking and keys, and support investigations or litigation. The notice states the PII is not shared with any other systems.
