Possible Import Ban on Certain Wi‑Fi Devices

The ALJ issued a Recommended Determination on August 6, 2026 that could lead the Commission to issue a limited exclusion order blocking certain Wi‑Fi routers, Wi‑Fi devices, mesh Wi‑Fi network devices, and components thereof from entry into the United States if a violation of Section 337 is found. The recommended exclusion specifically targets products imported, sold for importation, and/or sold after importation by ASUStek Computer Inc. The Commission is inviting public comment on these recommended remedies through September 8, 2026.

Potential Cease‑and‑Desist Orders for Two Firms

The ALJ's Recommended Determination of August 6, 2026 also recommends cease and desist orders directed to Plume Design Inc. and ASUS Computer International if the Commission finds a violation. Those orders could stop those companies from importing or selling the specific Wi‑Fi products at issue in the United States.
