3 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 3 costs, 0 mixed.

Mandatory BSEE Reporting Renewal

If you are a Federal OCS oil, gas, or sulfur lessee, operator, or holder of a pipeline right-of-way, you must continue to respond to BSEE information collections (Forms BSEE-0125, BSEE-0133, and BSEE-0133S) under OMB Control Number 1014-0018. Responses are mandatory and the collection is being renewed; the agency invites comments by October 16, 2026.

Estimated Time and Cost Burden

BSEE estimates about 555 potential Federal OCS respondents, with 63,744 annual responses, a total of 83,993 annual burden hours, and total annual non-hour costs of $16,000. Individual response times vary from 15 minutes up to 23 hours depending on the activity.

Public Release of Non‑Proprietary Well Data

Information submitted on Forms BSEE-0125 and BSEE-0133 (except for proprietary data) is required by the OCS Lands Act to be made available to the public. That means non‑proprietary well and drilling data you submit may be publicly accessible.
