In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995, the Department is proposing an extension without change of a currently approved information collection request (ICR).

Annual Title II Reporting Burden

States, colleges, and teacher preparation programs must submit annual Title II State Report Cards and Institution and Program Report Cards with program numbers, enrollment, demographics, completion rates, goals and assurances, and related data. The Department estimates a total of 2,283 annual responses and a combined burden of 185,000 hours for these reports.

Annual Publication of Teacher Prep Data

Information states and programs report—such as assessment pass rates, state standards, initial credential types and requirements, numbers of credentials issued, and classifications of programs as at-risk or low-performing—is published annually in The Secretary's Report to Congress on Teacher Quality. This makes those program-level data publicly compiled each year for Congress and the public.
