You cannot enter certain parts of Upper New York Bay near Liberty Island and Governors Island during aerial displays between September 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026. The Coast Guard may activate a safety zone with a radius of up to 500 yards around center points inside the named area; to request permission to enter, contact the Captain of the Port on VHF‑FM channel 16 or by phone at (718) 354-4356.
