The Farmer Bridge Assistance program (up to $11 billion in one-time bridge payments) now includes blue and red corn in its definition of “corn.” This change is effective August 27, 2026, so producers of blue or red corn are now eligible under 7 CFR 1414.3.

CCC-555 Applications Issued; Deadline Extended

For producers who timely reported eligible 2025 crop year acres of blue or red corn, the CCC will generate a CCC-555 Farmer Bridge Assistance application for them. Those producers have until September 28, 2026 to submit the CCC-555, and must submit all eligibility forms by April 19, 2027.
