Summary

In compliance with the requirement for opportunity for public comment on proposed data collection projects of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, HRSA announces plans to submit an Information Collection Request (ICR), described below, to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Prior to submitting the ICR to OMB, HRSA seeks comments from the public regarding the burden estimate, below, or any other aspect of the ICR.

Risk of Funding Reduction for Grantees

If you are a HRSA grantee, failing to respond to or provide accurate information for this data collection may result in a reduction in federal funding under section 340e(b)(3)(A) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 256e(b)(3)(A)). This requirement applies to the almost 2,000 reporting grantees described in the notice.

New CHGME Attestation Requirements

Children's Hospital Graduate Medical Education (CHGME, T23) applicants and grantees must add an attestation when submitting reports certifying compliance with 2 CFR part 200, CHGME award terms, federal civil rights laws, HIPAA and federal data security requirements, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Hospital Price Transparency requirements at 45 CFR part 180.

Collection of Data on Services for Minors

HRSA will add three dropdown options that apply only to CHGME applicants and grantees (T23): 'Sex Rejecting Procedures and Services for Minors' on the Program Curriculum Changes form; 'Individuals Receiving Training on Sex Rejecting Procedures and Services for Minors' on the Individual Characteristics form; and 'This Site Offers Sex Rejecting Procedures and Services for Minors' on the Experiential Training Sites form.

Estimated Reporting Time Burden for Grantees

HRSA estimates the total annualized burden for this collection is 5,656.9 hours across 1,968 respondents. The notice breaks this down by form: 602 responses at 2.7 hours each (1,625.4 hours), 159 responses at 4.1 hours each (651.9 hours), and 1,207 responses at 2.8 hours each (3,379.6 hours).
