Standard Lodging Per Diem Rises $3
If you are a federal employee on official travel within the continental U.S., the standard lodging per diem increases by $3 to $113 for travel performed on or after October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027. This follows a FY 2026 rate freeze and applies to FY 2027 per diem reimbursements.
Non‑Standard Areas Keep Higher Lodging Caps
For FY 2027, 295 non-standard CONUS locations will continue to have maximum lodging allowances that are higher than the $113 standard lodging per diem. This applies to travel performed on or after October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027.
M&IE Per Diem Rates Remain Unchanged
For FY 2027, the meals and incidental expenses (M&IE) per diem tiers remain at $68–$92 and the standard M&IE rate remains $68 for travel performed on or after October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027. Federal employees will continue to be reimbursed at these unchanged M&IE rates during that period.
