$2.98M Grants for Rural TA

HRSA awarded two supplemental cooperative agreements of $2,984,770 each to two organizations (Rural Health Resource Center, Duluth, MN and Rural Health Redesign Center Organization, Harrisburg, PA) to provide free, in-depth technical assistance to rural hospitals. The awards cover a project period from September 30, 2026, to September 29, 2027, and aim to help rural hospitals enhance or expand service lines so health care services stay available locally and hospital finances improve.

Support For Start-Up Service Costs

The grant funding can be used to implement new service lines by providing support for initial operating and equipment costs so participating rural hospitals can build patient volume and eventually run the new service lines on their own. This help is intended to improve financial performance and stabilize hospital operations in rural areas during the project period September 30, 2026, to September 29, 2027.
