Broader Definition Makes More Venues "Trading Platforms"

The Exchange widened its Fee Schedule definition of “Trading Platform” to include any similar order-matching execution venue or decentralized platform (including blockchain-based or tokenized environments) and functionally equivalent single-dealer platforms. That means venues meeting the revised definition will be treated as Trading Platforms for fee purposes (for example, EDGX shows a fee example of $5,000/month for EDGX Depth for Non-Display Usage for a Trading Platform versus $2,000/month for a non-Trading Platform).

Change Took Effect Immediately (Sept 1, 2026)

The Exchange filed the change and it became effective on September 1, 2026. The SEC may suspend the change within 60 days of the filing, and written comments on the filing are invited and must be submitted on or before October 5, 2026.
