Ohio SNAP: SSBs and Fountain Drinks Excluded

If you receive SNAP benefits in Ohio, beginning October 1, 2026, SNAP will not allow purchases of "sugar-sweetened beverages" or "fountain drinks" because the State is changing the SNAP definition of food for purchase to exclude those items. This change comes from Ohio's approved demonstration project and will affect what you can buy with SNAP benefits in Ohio starting on that date.
