SNAP Excludes Soft Drinks (Hawaii)
If you receive SNAP benefits in Hawaii, the State's demonstration project would change the SNAP definition of food so that "soft drinks" are excluded. The State requested this project on October 10, 2025, FNA approved the initial request on December 10, 2025, and the State requested to implement the change on April 1, 2027. The public may submit written comments on the project through October 15, 2026.
