Nasdaq abandons CORE FIX deployment

Nasdaq filed a rule change on October 22, 2026 to remove all references to the CORE FIX order entry protocol because it will not deploy CORE FIX. The Exchange says it was unable to generate participant interest and is abandoning plans to implement CORE FIX so its rulebook matches available protocols.

Existing order entry protocols remain available

Nasdaq will continue to offer the existing order entry protocols OUCH, RASH, FLITE, and FIX. Participants can keep using those protocols based on their trading needs.

Rule text corrected to include FLITE repricing

The Exchange will correct Equity 4, Rule 4120(b)(1)(C)(ii)(e)(2) to state that limit-priced orders entered via the OUCH or FLITE protocols will be repriced upon entry under the Price Bands repricing rule. The change adds FLITE alongside OUCH to accurately reflect current Exchange functionality.
