Nasdaq Texas abandons CORE FIX protocol

On October 22, 2026 Nasdaq Texas filed to remove all references to the CORE FIX order entry protocol and announced it will abandon plans to deploy CORE FIX. The Exchange previously delayed CORE FIX (initially added Sept 2025 and then pushed from Oct 2025 to Q1 2026, then to the end of 2026) and now proposes to remove it from Equity 4 rather than deploy a protocol that Participants have not shown interest in.

Existing order protocols remain available

The Exchange will continue to offer the currently operative order entry protocols: OUCH, RASH, FLITE, and FIX. Participants will still be able to choose among those protocols for order entry after the CORE FIX references are removed.

Rulebook updated immediately to remove CORE FIX

The Exchange's proposed rule change to eliminate references to CORE FIX in Equity 4 became effective immediately upon filing (filed October 22, 2026), so the Exchange's rulebook will promptly be updated. The Exchange also will delete online disclaimers that 'References to "CORE FIX" will be implemented in 2026' once the other references are deleted.
