Summary
Would create a live, state-by-state motor fuel price tracker in both the House and Senate chambers. The Architect of the Capitol would design, construct, and maintain a display that is updated continuously to show the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in every State and Territory. No appropriated federal funds could be used for the tracker. The Architect could accept private gifts and bequests to pay for it and must send an annual accounting to congressional leaders listing amounts accepted and their sources.

If adopted by both chambers, this resolution would direct the Architect of the Capitol to design, build, and maintain motor vehicle gas price trackers. The trackers would be placed in the Hall of the House of Representatives and the Chamber of the Senate and updated continuously to show the average price per gallon of regular gasoline in each State and Territory. No appropriated Federal funds could be used to design, construct, or maintain the trackers. The Architect would be allowed to accept and use gifts and bequests of money from individuals and must send an annual report to House and Senate leaders listing amounts accepted, amounts used, and sources.
