If enacted, this joint resolution would disapprove an EPA rule titled "California State Nonroad Engine Pollution Control Standards; Commercial Harbor Craft Regulations" published at 90 Fed. Reg. 1998 (January 10, 2025). The resolution would provide that the named EPA rule has no force or effect and may not take effect or apply. Businesses that make, sell, or operate the covered nonroad engines and commercial harbor craft in California would face fewer EPA requirements and likely lower compliance costs. California residents and communities would lose the pollution protections the rule would have provided.
