Summary
Blocks federal funding for the Department of Homeland Security's 'Public Charge' rule. This bill would prohibit the use of any federal funds or fees to implement, administer, enforce, or carry out that rule or any guidance that implements or clarifies it.

This bill would bar the use of any Federal funds or fees in any fiscal year to implement, administer, enforce, or carry out the DHS "Public Charge Ground of Inadmissibility" rule (91 Fed. Reg. 45324). The ban would also cover any guidance or sub-regulatory policy that implements or clarifies that rule. If enacted, this would mainly protect immigrant applicants and their families by preventing federal money from being used to apply the public-charge rule.
