More yearly health tests for service members
If enacted, starting in 2026, DoD would add yearly screenings to service members' periodic health assessments. Service members would get a sports physical, an electrocardiogram, and blood work. The blood work would include a comprehensive metabolic panel and a complete blood count. TSH and BNP tests would be done only when needed. Tests already required by law, and any others the Secretary finds appropriate, would also be included.
