Summary
Transfer about 20 acres at Fort Bragg to North Carolina for a State veterans' home. The bill would let the Secretary of the Army convey Parcel 3B in the Fort Bragg training area in Harnett County to the State at no purchase price so North Carolina can build and operate a State home under its Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. The State must pay or reimburse the Army for survey, environmental, real estate, and administrative costs and will be refunded any excess. If the property stops being used as a State home as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101, ownership may revert to the United States and the Secretary may impose additional protective terms.
