SBA cybersecurity help for small businesses

This bill would require the SBA, working with CISA, to make and share guides to help small businesses improve cybersecurity. The SBA would also share information about the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification for firms seeking federal contracts or subcontracts. That material must be given through Small Business Development Centers and SBA district offices and put on the SBA website. The SBA would meet each year with the Office of Advocacy to improve outreach, and the Chief Counsel for Advocacy would report to Congress within 90 days of enactment and annually after on cybersecurity contacts. The bill would not impose new mandatory cybersecurity requirements on small businesses or provide direct funding.
