Grants to expand K–12 AI education
If enacted, the bill would direct the Education Secretary to run competitive grants to States for K–12 artificial intelligence education. States would need to apply in the time, manner, and with the information the Secretary requires. Grant money would be used to create AI curricula for students and to provide professional education so teachers can understand and use AI in their teaching. The Secretary would study who got grants, analyze how funds were used, and report results to the House Education and Workforce Committee and the Senate HELP Committee within one year after enactment.
