No landlord notice to vacate

This bill would strike subsection (c) of section 4024 of the CARES Act. It would remove the CARES Act rule that landlords must give a notice to vacate before starting eviction actions. The change would apply only to units covered by the CARES Act, such as some federally backed mortgage or HUD-assisted properties. If you rent a covered unit, you would no longer be guaranteed that procedural notice. If you own or manage a covered property, you would no longer be required to give it. The change would take effect upon enactment and would not itself create new eviction rules or funding.
