Summary
Expands Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program eligibility to spouses and surviving spouses. This bill would amend 38 U.S.C. §4103A so that spouses described in 38 U.S.C. §4101(5) and the spouse of any person who died while a member of the Armed Forces could receive Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program career services from DVOP staff. *The text includes no new funding provisions, phase-ins, sunsets, or other programmatic appropriations.*

Job help for veterans' and surviving spouses
If enacted, the Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program would also serve certain spouses. Spouses described in 38 U.S.C. 4101(5) could get the same job help as eligible veterans. The spouse of anyone who died while a member of the Armed Forces would also qualify. The bill would remove the phrase "non-veteran-related" from one program rule. It would take effect upon enactment and would not add new funding.
