HUD Accountability Act of 2025

Summary
Requires annual testimony by the HUD Secretary. This bill would require the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to appear yearly before the House Financial Services Committee and the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee to present the Department's operations for the prior year. Testimony must cover current programs and operations, the physical condition of public and other housing assisted by HUD, the financial health of Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage insurance funds, oversight of grantees to prevent waste, fraud, and abuse, progress on affordable housing and homelessness, the Department's capacity to deliver its statutory mission, and other ongoing activities as appropriate.
