Summary
Would bar people convicted of assaulting law enforcement or of riot-related felonies that destroyed small businesses from receiving any assistance administered by the Small Business Administration. It would make those individuals ineligible for any program, assistance, or participation run by the SBA and ties the term "small business concern" to the Small Business Act definition in 15 U.S.C. 632.

Small business owners with certain convictions lose SBA help
This bill would block anyone with certain convictions from all Small Business Administration programs. If you were convicted of assaulting a law enforcement officer (misdemeanor or felony), you would be ineligible. It would also bar anyone convicted of a felony tied to a riot that destroyed a small business. The ban would cover SBA loans, grants, counseling, and disaster aid. It would take effect upon enactment.
