Border Patrol training for transitioning service members
If enacted, DHS would create a pilot to train transitioning service members for Border Patrol agent jobs at CBP. DHS, DoD, and VA would set it up within 180 days using the SkillBridge program. The pilot would run for five years after it starts. DHS would report each year, starting within one year, on applicants and participants by role, veterans, spouses, and dependents.
