Health savings accounts for Indian Health Service patients
If enacted, this would let people who use Indian Health Service or tribal health programs stay eligible for a health savings account. You would not be treated as having other coverage just because you get care from these programs. You would still need a qualifying high-deductible health plan and meet other health savings account rules. This would apply to tax years starting after December 31, 2024.
