- Families and patients: Would produce recommendations to define high-risk groups, guide H. pylori testing, and advise on screening and surveillance for conditions like gastric intestinal metaplasia and early gastric cancer.
- Service members and veterans: Would require the Department of Defense to study stomach cancer rates, service-related exposures (including burn pits, hazardous chemicals, contaminated water, and infections), disparities, and the availability of screening and treatment in military and VA health systems.
- Researchers and health systems: Would push coordination with the SEER program and other cancer registries and offer recommendations to improve research, awareness, screening guidelines, detection of precancerous lesions, and early treatment.
