Summary
Makes it easier for caregivers to accompany children and travelers with disabilities through security and onto flights. The AIRFARE Act would have the Transportation Security Administration create a system so airlines can issue expedited gate passes for caregivers and allow those passes to carry existing TSA PreCheck status.

Easier airport gate passes for caregivers
If enacted, TSA would set up a system within 180 days at U.S. airports. Airlines could give up to two gate passes. They would be for parents, guardians, or caregivers with a child or a passenger who needs help. If you have a Known Traveler Number, you could use TSA PreCheck on those passes. For wheelchair users, a caregiver would get a pass only if they are pushing the chair. A minor means under age 18.
