HR5232119th Congress

Domestic Jobs Protection Act

Sponsored By: Representative Gill, Brandon [R-TX-26]

Introduced

Summary

Removes the Attorney General from a specific authorization in immigration law. This bill would strike the words "or by the Attorney General" from 8 U.S.C. 1324a(h)(3), so the Attorney General would no longer be named as an authorizing or participating official under that subsection. The remainder of 274A(h)(3) would remain in effect unchanged. The measure does not establish, modify, or fund any programs, eligibility rules, enforcement mechanisms, or appropriations beyond that single textual change.
