- Families and consumers: Would aim to reduce the supply of unauthorized e-cigarettes and the public health risks they pose, including risks to youth.
- Federal agencies and law enforcement: Would bring together the Attorney General and the Secretary of Health and Human Services as co-chairs and representatives from FDA, Customs and Border Protection, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, U.S. Marshals, the Postal Inspection Service, the Federal Trade Commission, Homeland Security Investigations, the FBI, and others to coordinate actions and meet at least once every 30 days.

New federal task force on vapes
If enacted, this bill would create a multi-agency Task Force to reduce illegal e-cigarettes. The Task Force would start 30 days after enactment and be co-chaired by the Attorney General and the HHS Secretary. It would include FDA, DOJ, Customs and Border Protection, ATF, U.S. Marshals, Postal Inspection Service, FTC, HSI, FBI, and other agencies as appointed. The Task Force would meet at least once every 30 days and must develop a comprehensive strategy to cut unauthorized e-cigarettes. It would send semiannual reports to Congress by April 30 and October 31 about each agency's authorities and actions in the prior six months, recommendations for new authorities, and ways to improve collaboration. The Task Force would end 10 years after it is established.
