Summary

Cost-share grants for rollover protection structures (ROPS) would help farmers and agricultural schools buy, transport, and install approved ROPS with seatbelts on eligible tractors. The bill would give eligible agricultural producers and vocational or higher-education schools grants generally covering 70% of those costs and a higher share when documented costs exceed $500. The Agriculture Secretary would select a nongovernmental Program Administrator to run the application process, identify approved ROPS and eligible tractors, and operate a public website and telephone hotline. *It would authorize $725,000 each year for fiscal years 2027 through 2031, including $500,000 annually for grants, $125,000 for website promotion and upgrades, and $100,000 for the hotline.*
